Jackie is the Founder and Design Consultant of Orient Design. He has more than 20 years of experience in the brand and packaging design industry. He is a highly sought-after consultant by many companies. Jackie has won numerous awards and accolades for distinction in design industries. He was invited to give talks in Asia to share practical case studies of how companies have transformed by establishing strong branding to compete in the Asia market.

Jackie started Orient Design in 1995. Today, Orient Design has established a reputation as a leading design consultancy company and a multiple award leader in brand and packaging design. The company specializes in brand rejuvenation program and provides practical design solution that comes with strategic considerations.

Kimming is an entrepreneur and the Managing Director of Creativeans, an interdisciplinary creative company based in Singapore, Milan and Jakarta. An expert on brand and design strategies, Kimming has served clients in a broad range of industries, including lifestyle, fast-moving consumer goods, healthcare, beauty, food & beverage, furniture, consumer electronics and government. He regularly conducts presentations on the subject of branding and design, and sits on the judging panel of Singapore Prestige Brand Awards. Kimming holds a Master’s Degree in Design.

 

SABRINA LONG
Dean, School of Art & Design, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts

As the Dean of School of Art and Design, Sabrina oversees the degree, diploma and certificate courses in 4 programmes – 3D Design, Design & Media, Fashion Studies and Fine Art.

Prior to this deanship, Sabrina led the 3D Design programme for 10 years and developed the areas of 3-Dimensional Design and Spatial Design comprising of Furniture & Spatial, Object & Jewellery, Interior & Exhibition Design and Landscape & Architecture. Under her leadership, Sabrina spearheaded a number of initiatives which include the development of the double majors learning and practice. She is a firm advocate of the engagement of students in professional practice and work on ’live’ client projects. The accolades of furniture and object design course include major awards in local and regional design competitions. Under her mentorship, students and alumni have been winning awards at major international competitions – Red Dot Concept Award, Design Quest from USA, IAI Awards in China and locally at Furniture Design Awards. The NAFA’s 3D Design programme has established an enviable reputation of outstanding designers who are also creative entrepreneurs on the global arena.

She holds a Master in Education and her research interests lie in developing strategies to improve students’ learning and advocating systems of assessment in design education that is compatible with an industrial benchmark. Sabrina has an impressive professional career, having worked in Hong Kong and Singapore, where she specialised in kitchen systems and furniture design. Her professional practice extends to contributing articles for design magazines, journals and was a member of the URA Conservation Review Committee as well as jury in regional and local design competitions such as the Design & Technology Awards for MOE schools.
